This post is to participate in the " blogger's quilt festival that Ami's Creative Side organizes twice a year inviting bloggers from around the world online to send a quilt to which you are particularly fond.
This is one of the first quilt made by me without anyone's help and with few notions of patchwork. It 'was my husband found on the internet after the image of this quilt, he is in love and asked me to make it to our bed.
From simple image, even if quite clear to me that I was starting out, was an undertaking to make my life easier so I redesigned the various blocks, trying to respect the various forms by measures at my discretion. I tried to match colors with fabrics that I already had, buying only the bare essentials. Of course every now and then when I cut and sew the small pieces to form the design, I gave the mad and I said to myself, "to cut many small pieces and then sew it .... AMAZING! "But once completed and made up the whole, the satisfaction is great. I must say that the work is finished the result is nice. Further complicating the work, not being in possession of material needed to carry out the back with a single piece of fabric I have ever used cut out pictures that I possessed was exactly what the block size as the front making them match exactly.
